Steve,

Yeah I have black heat shrink on my lines to kind of hide it a little bit and make it match better with my black hoses. The car is a 1968 SS Camaro running stock style suspension with 28x10.5 slicks. It weighs 3520 lbs. It has Brodix BB4 heads, Brodix 4150 style intake, Holley HP carb all ported by Dr. J's and is only 525 cubic inches. There is a Mike's transmissions powerglide and 10 inch Continential converter. It has a Ford 9 inch with 3.73 gears.

Going into the final race of the season in the WCHRA (West Coast Hot Rod) Limited 10.5 class I was behind 56 points. This meant that I needed the current points leader to lose in the semi finals and I needed to set the ET record, MPH record and win the event. A lot to accomplish but I wanted the championship real bad. During qualifying I called Steve Johnson to help get some basic tune ups for what seemed the impossible. I told Steve we needed to go 8.50s at 163 MPH. The current records were 8.67 and 160.7MPH. The first tune up went 8.87 @ 161.8MPH ! Happy with the way things looked I played with timing and at the end of qualifying I had set the new MPH record of 164.32MPH in the 104 degree heat also. For Eliminations we decided it was best to soften the car up and delay the hit of the nitrous by .2 to go for the ET record. 1st round we ran a 8.68 @ 163.3MPH. 2nd round we ran an incredible 8.55 @ 163.93 MPH ! We now had a window of 8.46 - 8.66 to back up the record. I had a bye in the semi finals and the current points leader lost in his semi finals. The car I had to race just reset the ET record to 8.66 which meant I now had to go better than 8.66 and win the finals to get the championship. When we left the line I spun a little and he was out on me by 1 1/2 cars at half track but, I had the field covered by 6MPH. Using this I was able to run him down and win with a margin of victory of only .012. I ran a 8.65 @ 163.54MPH which was good enough to set the ET record and win the 2009 WCHRA Limited 10.5 championship.

It has been an exciting season and we are glad to have been able to work with Steve Johnson to get the performance we needed at the time we needed it the most. Our fastest time is 8.44 @164.7.

Sincerely,

Mike Saiki

John & Matt Sears

Steve,

Just wanted to say thanks for all your help this year in X275. We are currently running your Florida Real Street Plate and it has exceeded our expectations by running consistant 5.40's in the 1/8th mile. We also use all Edelbrock products in our 410 cubic inch engine build utilizing the package approach to our combination using the Edelbrock Victor 23 degree Raised Runner Cylinder Heads ported by Curtis Boggs at RFD and a Super Victor Intake ported by Gaby Labiosa at Wilson Manifolds. All the Nitrous is controlled by an Edelbrock Nitrous Progressive Controller that has allowed us to get consistant 60ft times in the mid-1.20 range on Mickey Thompson 275/60-15 drag radials on our 3100 lb 1980 Malibu.

We were able to qualify at every X275 event this year at Maryland International Raceway where the car counts have been as high as 28 cars racing for 16 spots. The field is divided into a Quick 8 and a 9-16 Shootout and we even made the very tough Quick 8 field once. We finished in the top 16 in points out of over 50 racers that raced the class and I don't think we would have been as successful as we were without your help and without taking advantage of the package approach that both you and Edelbrock offer.

Thank you,
John and Matt Sears

Steve and the crew at Induction Solutions,

I wanted to say thank you for setting up my plate system and for all of your support this year. We took runner up in Extreme 10.5 this year, and this is only the first year of this setup. I could not be more impressed with what this little system can do, now its time for an upgrade!

My car is a 1971 Chevelle, stock suspension, conventional headed 565 BBC, th400 transmission going to a 9” bolt in housing. Our best run to date is 5.49 @ 128 mph with just a little single bar plate at 3500 lbs.

THANK YOU INDUCTION SOLUTIONS!

Jeff Miller

Hey Steve,

I just wanted to say THANKS for the nitrous hook up !!!

The first time out, we ran our car on 8.5 tires. Saturday night and we were number 1 qualifier and we won the race !

We have a 69 Camaro SS with a 522 BBC built by Tommy Costales. The car weighed 3350, we went 5.54 at 132 mph with your baseline jetting you set the system up with. I would have to say, our new Induction Solutions nitrous system really works great !!

We've had Speedtech , NOS, and many others over the years, but yours is THE BEST !!! Were gunning for the 8.5 record next time out...

Many thanks,
Jeff Miller

Steve,

My son, Joey, contacted you last week and bought one of your plate systems. Just wanted to thank you for all your support this weekend. We had the best weekend racing we've had all year. It was nice to see my kid have fun and not need to make changes after every pass. Your system worked exactly like you said it would right out of the box.

Saturday he qualified number 2 in King Street series. Won a nice trophy for fastest qualified small block, 9:21/148. Wish you could have seen the smile on his face, wow!

Sunday he qualified number 3 in limited street, local heads up series. Went to the semi finals without a change in tune up. And we got our teen like you said we should.

Great weekend of racing thanks to your system.

Thanks again!

Sincerely,
Johnny Kenville
